Individuals and families seek therapy or counseling for several reasons. A good rule of thumb is to consider trying therapy when what you are doing no longer works or when your coping skills are creating more problems for you than addressing the root cause of the pain.
The length of a typical session ranges from 50 to 53 minutes. However, some services and circumstances may require more or less time. Your assigned mental health provider will assess and accommodate these circumstances.
The frequency of your therapy sessions will be determined by the provider's clinical recommendations and the client. This will be discussed during the initial treatment planning phase of therapy.
Yes, therapy is confidential. Therapists are bound by ethical and legal obligations to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of their clients. This means the information shared during therapy sessions is confidential and cannot be disclosed to others without the client's explicit consent. However, there are some exceptions to confidentiality that therapists must adhere to, such as harm to self or others, abuse of vulnerable populations, or court orders. We are committed to protecting confidentiality within the bounds of the law.

The cost of the service varies depending on factors such as your provider's licensure level, whether you use insurance to cover the cost, or if you choose to pay privately. Insurance copays, coinsurance, and deductibles vary by plan. For an accurate quote, please call the business office to inquire about a plan and provider that may best meet your needs.
Yes, we educate our clients on the importance of a good therapeutic relationship. We have other providers within our practice and a list of referrals to offer clients outside of our practice.
Yes, we offer Telehealth/online sessions. The client must be in the state where the provider is licensed to practice. For example, if your provider is only licensed in Alabama, you must live in and be in the state at the time of services rendered
Typically, in the first session you get an introduction to your therapist (in-person or online) and discuss your treatment plan. You will complete paperwork online to give your provider some information about you and your goals in therapy, prior to the first session. The paperwork is usually reviewed, and the therapist will further assess with follow-up questions, and make a clinical recommendation for evidence-based treatment approaches.
Our availability varies by provider; we do have providers who work at night and on weekends.
