Kenyal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a valued member of the Inspire Counseling team. She joined the practice in June 2024 and brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to her work with women and adolescent girls. In addition to her work at Inspire Counseling, she is also employed full-time at a community-based social services agency, where she provides therapeutic support to individuals and families navigating significant emotional and life challenges.
Kenyal is passionate about helping women navigate the emotional and psychological changes associated with perimenopause and menopause. Alongside her experience treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, she has developed a focused interest in supporting women experiencing hormonal shifts, mood changes, identity transitions, and the often-overlooked mental health impacts of this stage of life.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Alabama and her Master of Social Work from Troy University in Montgomery. Through her clinical work, she has seen how hormonal transitions can intensify anxiety, irritability, sleep disruptions, cognitive fog, and changes in self-esteem or relationships. Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, integrating trauma-informed and mindfulness-oriented strategies to help clients deepen self-awareness, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with their sense of identity and well-being.
In addition to her work with women in midlife, Kenyal also supports adolescent girls and young women facing emotional distress, self-esteem challenges, and major life transitions.
Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cities, and spending meaningful time with her family.
